WorldTracer Tablet: Introduction

WorldTracer Tablet is a version of WorldTracer that runs on an Apple iPad, and provides several core transactions from WorldTracer.

It allows the agent to move around the airport, and work directly alongside passengers or unclaimed bags, to quickly create files in WorldTracer.

The Tablet interface is designed for agents already familiar with WorldTracer Desktop, and doesn't require additional training.

You can:

  • Connect to portable devices from WorldTracer Tablet, such as barcode scanner to scan a bag tag, bag receipt, or boarding pass.

  • Scan barcodes using the tablet's built-in camera.

  • Take photos of a bag to include in an On-Hand or Damaged Bag File.

  • Connect to a portable printer and print:

    • Property irregularity report (PIR) for a passenger

    • Rush sticker for a bag to reflight

    • Bag delivery order (BDO) details for a bag's delivery by courier

    • On-Hand Bag and Quick On-Hand Bag labels

Files created in WorldTracer Tablet are immediately visible in WorldTracer, provided there is an active internet connection. If there is no connection, the files are saved as a draft. Quick On-Hands are automatically uploaded when the internet connection returns.

Tip:

Connect to your scanner and printer on the tablet using Settings > Bluetooth.
