Types of WorldTracer Files

This page lists the different types of files in WorldTracer.

WorldTracer File Description

Retained in WorldTracer Active Database

Available as a Past Date File
Delayed Bag

Created for a passenger who cannot locate a bag and reports it missing.

The file stores information about the passenger, the missing bags, and the flight itinerary.

The more information collected from the passenger and entered into the report, the more likely WorldTracer will be able to locate the missing bag.

180 days from file creation or 60 days from file closure Three years from the oldest date in the flight/date.
On-Hand Bag

Created for a found or unclaimed bag at your station.

WorldTracer attempts to match the unclaimed bag to a passenger's Delayed Bag file at your station or another station.

180 days from file creation or 45 days from file closure Three years from the oldest date in the flight/date.
Damaged Bag

For a passenger who reports damage or pilferage to a bag or contents.

Examples: A new rip in a bag, an item has been stolen from a bag.

The file stores information about the passenger, the damage to the bags or contents, and the flight itinerary.

Forward Bag

Created to reflight a bag from one station to another, to reunite it with the passenger.

45 days, but a search for a match for 10 days

Not available.

They are purged from WorldTracer after the default retention period.
